TerritorialMC Newbie Guide – Getting Started

Welcome to TerritorialMC – a geopolitical Earth Towny server where nations rise, alliances form, and history is written by you. This guide is designed to help new players get started with the basics of survival, town creation, and the gold-based economy.


🧭 First Steps After Joining

Q: What do I do when I first join?
A: You'll spawn in a random location on our 1:500 Earth map. From there, you can begin gathering resources and surviving solo — or ask in chat to join an existing town.


Q: How do I join a town?
A: If a town invites you, accept it using:
/t join <townname>


Q: Can I leave or switch towns later?
A: Yes! You’re free to leave your current town, join another, or create your own at any time.

🏡 Creating and Managing a Town

Towny allows you to build and manage towns with friends or allies. Here's how to get started:

Q: How do I create my own town?
A: You’ll need 64 gold ingots in your inventory. Stand on unclaimed land and use:
/t create <name>


Q: What should I do after founding a town?
A: Deposit gold into your town bank so you can claim more land. Stand in your Home or Bank plot and type:
/t deposit <amount>


Q: How much does land cost?
A: Each chunk of land costs 16 gold to claim.


Q: How can I see chunk borders?
A: Press G + F3 to view the chunk you're standing in.


Q: Is there daily upkeep for towns?
A: No, there is no upkeep. You only spend gold when expanding.


Q: How much land can I claim?
A: Your land limit increases with each resident. Being part of a nation also increases your maximum claim size.

🪙 The Gold-Based Economy

Q: What’s the currency on TerritorialMC?
A: Gold! It’s used for starting towns, claiming land, buying from shops, and more.


Q: How do I earn gold?
You can earn gold by:

  1. Voting: Type /vote and use the links. You'll receive vote crates that reward gold.
  2. Mining: Breaking gold ore drops gold nuggets.
  3. Trading: Use chest shops to buy and sell with other players.


Q: How do I turn nuggets into ingots?
Use the following commands:

  1. /gold – Converts nuggets to ingots (9 nuggets = 1 ingot)
  2. /gold auto – Automatically converts nuggets as you mine
